Rioja: Hats' City / Ville de chapeaux
 The  skill of its weavers made her famous, yet beyond straw hats "Shawl",  are made of a fiber "Bombonaje" plant. Long ago these hats were quite  successfully exported to the neighboring countries of Ecuador and  Brazil.   Its  capital, Rioja, also known as Noble and welcoming city for the  hospitality of its inhabitants with travelers. It was founded under the  name of Santo Toribio de Nueva Rioja, on October 22, 1772 by Felix de la  Rosa and Garavia Reátegui.    Its  territory is mostly jungle, with a lot of range, was originally  inhabited by tribes of Uquihuas and Chepenes. It has a spring weather;  subtropical and humid ranging from 21.5 to 28 oC, with an annual average  of 22.5 oC. The relative humidity is 86%. Its main neighborhoods are:  Quinapata, Shahuintopata, Cascayunga and Amaringo.
